Brief information on the owner:

Paul Maxwell-King owner of this site was born 24th May 1964 and when leaving school at the age of 16 was an apprentice with the National Coal Board as a surface / Underground Electrical Engineer.

Paul went through a four year apprenticeship which included a day release at the Doncaster collage then once he received his HND in Electrical and Electronic engineering he carried on his education to receive certification in PLC's, Robotics, 15th edition, 16th edition and 17th edition electrical regulations.

After the NCB strike Paul also worked for:

  • A Controls Company manufacturing and installing electrical furnaces.
  • Controls company manufacturing and installing equipment for Marshall Quarry which includes convey and robotic systems.
  • 3M Health Care where he was plant engineer repairing / maintenance on CNS machinery, FANUC Robots and all factory maintenance assets.
  • Electrical Engineer for a large glass making factory
  • Electrical Engineer for a steel mill
  • Electrician, supervisor, and finally contract manager for a London based engineering company managing large contracts with the BBC, Swiss Re (Gherkin), Mellon Finance, Unilever, Rio Tinto and other large company's.
  • BMS (Building Management Systems) advisor / designer for a well known London based company.
  • Controls engineer / designer for a well known Geothermal company. Working with PLC's and HVAC control equipment including Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Jace, Allan Bradley, Vykon, TREND, TAC and Automated Logic Control. Also working with networks, BACnet, LON and N2 open for control of equipment as well as remote access by internet and SMS controls.
    Paul Maxwell-King is also a certified Tridium Controls engineer.
Paul has a vast knowledge on building services, controls, IT and managing and implementing contracts as well as designing and uploading all information on this web site.

This site is dedicated to the maintenance industry we include all types of preventive maintenance tasks to download. It has been well documented that preventive maintenance leads to a reduction in plant downtime and an increase in equipment service life. However, full preventive maintenance programs can be costly and complex and this has deterred many company's from making the switch from a maintenance regime based on dealing with breakdowns (reactive maintenance) into one based on preventing them.
